Director and Principal Physiotherapist

Mitchell Olsen

BPhysio (UoN)

Born and raised in Port Macquarie, Mitch (or “Bluey” to some) completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle before returning home to begin his career at Port Macquarie Base Hospital, working alongside local surgeons and medical specialists.

Mitch joined Wauchope Physiotherapy in 2017 and now co-owns the clinic with Nathan, leading its growth as a trusted provider of physiotherapy across the Wauchope and Port Macquarie region. Together, they’re passionate about improving how chronic back and neck pain are understood and treated in the community.

Mitch combines hands-on treatment with targeted exercise and movement-based rehab. He has a special interest in foot and ankle injuries — particularly Achilles tendinopathy and post-surgical recovery — along with sports injuries, chronic spinal conditions, and vestibular disorders such as BPPV and vertigo, supported by further training in vestibular rehabilitation.

Known for his clear explanations, detailed assessments, and practical approach, Mitch helps his patients understand their condition and build confidence in their recovery.

Outside of work, Mitch enjoys life with his young family, getting outdoors, surfing, playing touch football, a nice glass of red wine and exploring the Mid North Coast.
